Dinner out

Well, I am just passing the time this week, waiting for my layoff on Friday.  Not much to do at work, since everything has now been transitioned over to other people.  It is amazing how slow a day goes when you don't have anything to do all day.  So far today, I have browsed the internet, and spoke on the phone to one person who I called to let him know that I was being laid off this week.  This afternoon will be more of the same unfortunately, but tomorrow, I should be out of here by noon.

Last night, CC called and said she wanted to go out to eat, her treat.  She wanted to go to this new Italian place in town called "Johnny Carino's."  We ended up getting there around 7:00, and there was a 25 minute wait.  Once inside, it seemed very nice.  Good atmosphere, and attentive staff.  We ordered a bottle of wine, and then our meals.  She had the salmon, and I ordered an Italian sirloin.  It was one of the best meals I have ever had.  (Of course I didn't let her pay for the meal, I'm just a sexist pig I guess.)  I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who has one in there area.  After we got home, I opened another bottle of wine, and we sat on the couch to watch a new show we saw last week, "Rescue Me."  The show seems a little weird, but I like it.  If you didn't seen the premier, when he starts talking to dead people it may seem like a stupid show, but I will continue to watch it for now.  CC ended up staying over so we could get some needed sexual relief in.  For some reason, she must have been very horny last night.  After the 3rd time, I had to say no so I could get some sleep.

Today at work, my co-workers are taking me out for lunch on my 2nd to last day.  They said they wanted to take me out tomorrow, but I told them that I would probably be gone by noon.  I am not sure where we are going, but hopefully somewhere nice.

Softball tonight, two big games that we need to win to make the playoffs.  The teams we play tonight are both tied with us in the standings.  Our friend from Chicago in getting into town tonight also, so that means we will be doing some drinking tonight.  I already feel like I am going to be hung over.  He is in town for out golf tournament on Saturday which should be a very good time.  We have 26 people in it this year, and we are staying in a hotel 4 blocks from all the downtown bars on Saturday night.  I will let you know how everything goes next time I post.

Very interesting story 35, for a moment there I started to feel hung over when you mentioned drinking the SoCo straight, that s##t will put hair on your chest. I can certainly relate as I am a recently divorced 35 year old. I wish you the best and hope to hear more.
